We got great value for our money at Farndale Cottage. The rooms were tastefully decorated, with comfy beds and spotlessly clean. The location was fantastic, just seconds away from pubs, restaurants, and a couple of minutes' stroll to the harbour. The hosts, Charlotte and Craig, were incredibly hospitable and helped us at every stage of our stay. They even sent us a video to make sure we knew where to park.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been better if there was a greater variety of options.

Had a great time during our Christmas stay. Loved the fact that the cottage was very clean and tidy, making us feel right at home. the beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. the key location of the cottage was perfect, with easy access to pubs and restaurants. the parking facilities in the area were convenient and hassle-free.
The double bed on the first floor was quite uncomfortable, and the mattress definitely needs replacing. the room itself was quite small, and fitting in the bed was a bit of a challenge.

Great location with easy access to local amenities such as shops and restaurants. Friendly and accommodating hosts who provided excellent customer service. Convenient parking options available nearby.
Minor maintenance issues such as a loose bathroom door lock and a knob missing from a cupboard in the lounge.

It was the perfect base for exploring the area and enjoying some quality family time. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the Flamingo Land Theme Park with its exciting rides and attractions. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. The hosts, Craig and Charlotte, were incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring that our stay was as relaxing as possible. We would 100% recommend this place to other families visiting Whitby. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
For dads, it would be great if the cottage had a small outdoor play area or garden where the children could safely play.

They provided great communication and even sent a video to help us with parking. the cottage was clean, tidy, and felt like home. the beds were comfortable, which was important for my elderly mother.
There were a couple of minor issues during our stay. the kitchen tap was dripping and in need of repair.

I chose this hotel for attending a meeting and it provided all the conveniences I needed, including coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards. These amenities were very practical and made my stay comfortable.
The only service that I missed for my work was a business center or a dedicated workspace. It would have been helpful to have a quiet area where I could work and have access to a printer or other office facilities.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cottage in Whitby. The location was absolutely fantastic, just a short stroll away from the vibrant pubs, restaurants, and the picturesque harbor. The cottage itself was a cozy and modern retreat, with tastefully decorated rooms that made it hard to choose a favorite. The beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. I especially appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality extended by the hosts, who ensured we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. They even went the extra mile by sending a helpful video guide on where to park, as parking in the area can be a bit tight.
